Mother Fran

The unthinkable happened this week, Mother Fran took her last breath and left this earth. She left behind 1 of her 2 sisters, 8 of her 9 children, fifteen grandchildren and twenty seven great-grandchildren. She joins her parents in heaven along with her husband, sister, son and daughter-in-law. She died quietely in the car on the way to the beach. She played cards the night before (I bet she won) and walked to the car under her own power. Mother Fran died on her own terms.

My siblings and I will gather to celebrate her this week. We will share memories, meals, laughter and tears. People tell me how lucky she was to have such a devoted family and she would agree. I know how lucky we were to have such an amazing mother and role model.

In her 95 years on this earth, she touched a lot of people and will be missed by all. She answered to many names including daughter, wife, sister, mother, mommy, mom, aunt, niece, friend, grandma, grammy, Rest in peace Mom. You deserve it!
